Meet & Greet
My name is Myesha McClendon, and I am honored to serve as the new President of The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Chicago. Beyond my role with AMAC, I currently serve as the Chief Engineering Delivery Officer at Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc., proudly representing an unwavering dedication to engineering for over 20 years. This position has afforded me the opportunity to lead talented engineering teams on prominent aviation and other related design projects here in Chicago and around the world. In addition, I am the owner of South Shore Social Beach Club located at South Shore Beach in Chicago, Illinois.
I have a long history of service, inspired from one of my favorite quotes “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth,” – Muhammad Ali. I also serve in leadership roles for several non-profits that I am passionate about that help to introduce children to the math and careers in engineering. MATHCOUNTS, an organization dedicated to providing engaging math programs to US middle school students of all ability levels to build confidence and improve attitudes about math and problem solving.
My professional accolades include being a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional), honored as one of Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40, and named 2019 ENR National Young Professionals Top 20 under 40. I have also been honored with the Milhouse Charities “You Are The Key” Volunteer of the Year Award in 2017 for extraordinary service improving communities worldwide, as well as Milhouse Engineering & Construction’s Maverick of the Year and Manager of the Year award in 2016. I am also proud to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and remain dedicated to continued service in all aspects of my life.
My commitment to leadership, service, and empowering diverse communities directly aligns with the mission of AMAC Chicago. As President, I am dedicated to advancing our organization’s vision by creating meaningful opportunities and fostering inclusive growth for women and minorities within the aviation and aerospace industries. I look forward to working alongside our members, sponsors, and partners to continue building a vibrant, diverse, and successful community.
